The purpose of affirmations is to help us focus on our goals and keep them proximateAlso by keeping our goals proximate, we reduce the stress associated with the mundane tasks  required to achieve them.
No matter what your goals are in respect to the Internet, each of us need affirmations, hence, the purpose of this page.

Affirmation for the week ending February 15, 1998 ...

I love to chat with my online friends and I would like to meet them in person, but I'm afraid.  The next time this fear arises I will remember:
  • My doubts are normal and should be taken into consideration, but fear is unhealthy in any situation.
  • Public group settings are ideal for meeting my online friends.
  • My online friend and I may not "hit it off" in person, so I will always maintain an open mind and heart.
  • To never agree to meet in secrecy or without notifying a friend of my whereabouts.
  • Online friends can be life-long friends providing we leave our expectations at the keyboard.
  • The anonymity of this media is a breeding ground for pretense, so I will always maintain caution and prudence.
  • Many aspects of our being can be transmitted via the telephone lines. We have yet to develop a means of transmitting the chemistry between persons which makes us "click".
Go ahead, take a few more DEEP BREATHS... You deserve them!
