The purpose of affirmations is to help us focus on our goals and keep them proximateAlso by keeping our goals proximate, we reduce the stress associated with the mundane tasks  required to achieve them.
No matter what your goals are in respect to the Internet, each of us need affirmations, hence, the purpose of this page.

Affirmation for the week ending May 31, 1998 ...

Although I've surfed the Internet for weeks on end, I feel totally frustrated because I'm not really having that much fun!  The next time I'm feeling this frustration, I will take a deep breath and remember:

  • The beauty of the Internet is that I make it what I want it to be.
  • I will call upon that adventurous spirit within me to go out and seek what it is I want to do.
  • Often times my frustration is due to the fact that I haven't acclimated myself (found the rhythm within) to the required tasks for interacting with a certain activity.
  • When I come upon something new I will not pre-define it, but look at it with the curiosity of child within me.
  • To breathe each time I find myself feeling apprehensive about trying something new or foreign.
  • Try not to jump to conclusions too quickly limiting my understanding and possible enjoyment of a new task.
Go ahead, take a few more DEEP BREATHS... You deserve them!
